In the land of deserts, where even the sand dunes flow like waves upon the Thar, Rajasthan colours her people in the artistic waves of Leheriya. Literally meaning waves, the Leheriya was designed to imitate the wave patterns of water. The tie dye process is achieved in the initial stage with natural dyes and later, artificial stains like indigo and alizarin is included. Leheriya gives a unique zigzag irregular pattern upon the cloth in bright colours, especially in blues.

The art is often used to make the famous Rajasthani Leheriya saree and the majestic turbans for the men on cotton or silk mostly. Moreover, the fan-shaped folds of the cloth before the process of dying begins gives the signature Leheriya pattern. Voylla has been inspired by the priceless craft of the desert lands to formulate their own brand of adornments, especially earrings. They have designed silver chandelier earrings and jhumkaas with Leheriya patterns on the mounted crowns of the earrings, and even on the studs, with hanging stones in the bottom. With the use of different shades of a single hue, they have also added depth to the earrings, making it stand out with its fabulous colour play.
